Nope, the converter is universal and it comes with the installations for both Maya and Max.

Installed latest nightly build for 3dsMax...looked for vdb converter at C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\Phoenix FD\3ds Max 2019 for x64. Couldn't find the convertor. How can I export a vdb sequence from 3dsMax? Found the Alembic exporter, but cannot figure out the vdb export. ThanksLast edited by wxyz; 12-02-2020, 09:29 AM.

Hey,
Beware that there is an issue with the cache converter in the official 4.0 builds, so you gotta grab one for the nightly builds.
Not sure I understand the question any further though... Can you describe in more detail what you wanna do?
Cheers!
