Hi,
I am having some issues resimulating ( binning the existing, and simulating a new, not the resimulation tab ) an ocean. I have noticed that after a couple of instances of doing the above the scene is failing to simulate afterwards. It runs through, and with the 'mesh preview' on i can see the ocean surface - however, the particles are 0 for all of liquid/foam/splashes etc as below:
[GRID: 15 900 750 cells, 555x573x50]
- Liquid/Temperature (0.00 : 1.00)
[PARTICLES]
- Liquid: 0
- Foam: 0
- Splashes: 0
- Mist: 0
- WetMap: 0
* Simulated with v3.05.00, Build ID: 171109 for Maya 2016 from Nov 9 2017
This is very frustrating as I cant for the life of me understand why this would be happening.
OK Unfortunately, i figured out that an artist had an 'environment' sphere set to outline only, which wasnt noticable in the camera view. This was getting in the way of the simulator from producing the particles.
