  • Irradiance Map Incremental Add..

    I have a question about irradiance map calculation;

    Usually I'd use 'multiframe incremental' mode for my imap creation for an animated flythru sending this through backburner to a single machine with the render following as a dependent job.

    Because the job I'm currently rendering is borderline running out of memory and often reports the infamous "An unexpected exception has occured in the network renderer and it is terminating". When this happens during the imap creation and I'm using multiframe incremental mode, it screws up the imap and I'd have to calculate it again from scratch.

    My question is, if I use 'incremental add to current map' mode, when I get these out of memory crashes will it screw up my imap?

    I'd submit the job as 64-bit which would solve these problems, the only problem is that for this scene we are relying on a plugin which has problems in 64-bit max.

    Can anyone offer any clarification on this issue?

    Thanks
