I have a 400 frame bush blowing in the wind. I converted it to Animated VRay proxy - on frame 260 (65%) of conversion, the vrmesh file size is already more than 1GB! I need to instance this bush a couple of times over my ground with random scale and animation offset to make it more realistic. Now should I scatter the mesh or the proxy? But the proxy file size is huge?
What is the best way to do this? I mean should i use the proxy or not. I think I read somewhere somebody said that with newer builds (sp2) you dont really save much ram with proxy and not using proxy wont influance ram much. Either way what would you suggest is the best way to tackle the animated bush and instance issue?
