  • Vray Raw (.vrimg) question.

    Vray Raw (.vrimg) is awesome.
Does anyone know whether I can render in strips over a network (using backburner) and successfully render the .vrimng output also?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Tom.

No, I don't think it will work with the stripes unfortuntely.

    Best regards,

ok, so the only way to get my farm working on the still image is DR, which has to be from my workstation right? (I only have one license of max)

You can have one of your servers controlling the DR without requiring a workstation license. If you submit the job with DR enabled to one machine, it will DR to the rest. You just need to set up the vray_dr.cfg file in the maxroot\plugcfg folder of the render server that's controlling the DR with the list of render nodes you want it to use. You can copy the file from your workstation over to the server, and edit the text file so the servers you want to use have a "1" after their name.

Awesome, so does this also mean that I can render vray Raw from the same render job?
