Linux License Server install?

I asked this before but long time ago. Since Vray for Maya under Linux is available now, i assume the licence server runs under linux as well. However we use Max. We also have a router that runs linux and it has 2 usb plugs at the back, which looks perfect for dongles. This router also handles our vpn connections. Now my question is, can i install the linux licence server on this router, and if yes where do i get the server. Would it be sufficient to download the maya demo install? It would be perfect for me to get it working so i can travel around without carrying the dongle with me. You can loose these things just as you loose these usb sticks, if you know what i mean
