Heya
I was wondering if this is possible to create a shader that after aplying to a plane/or other geometry which would be put on top of a high detail mesh or so, would be able pick up a underlying geometry bump, normal and displacement values and apply to a mesh thats its on? Like vray portal works that picks hdri rays and so on. The idea is to quickly apply a dirt, decals and other details to a complex surfaces without the need to tweak original shaders which most of the time can cause a lot of troubles if shaders are seamles and reused all over the place.
Would that be possible maybe?
