  • displacement flickering in animation, how to avoid it?

    Hello:

I was doing a test of an architectural animation with a vray displacement applied to the grass mesh and the result was very fickery. How can attenuate or eliminate the flickering? Any tips welcome.

    regards

you might have to render your Imap fro a more frequent number of frames......if only your cam is moving......
in other words if you were calc your Imap every 20 frames before...try something like every 10 or 5 frames.........

or if you have other things moving through your scene then you'll have to render every frame....there is also an animation preset in the Imap settings in the vray render......

      Hello cocolas:

No, I am not using GI in this animation. Still don't know what causes it.
      Thanks, anyway

is it maybe the AA that causes flickering? What are your AA settings?

0/2 is usually good, did you alter any other of the AA parameters (like random, threshold)?

Can you show us a small part of the flickering anim?
