i want to randomise my particle colours from an alembic.
it took 24 hrs to export, so id rather not have to go back in houdini, apply random colours there and re-export.
i tried the texture map slot in the pointparticle shader, but it seems to map the texture to the whole alembic. (i used a noise map, but i get "patches" of particles of each colour, and they dont follow particle motion.
is there any way to assign a range of colours to the particles?
