V-Ray Freezes Machine

All of a sudden and on all projects, hitting render freezes MAX. I mean, not even buckets move. I can leave it alone and it'll finish, but the whole time my screen is frozen. I do have MAX set at low priority, which used to work. I am running NEXT on Windows 10 and MAX 2019. Any clue why?
