Was doing some tests and I noticed that if your rendering with a standard material which has a normal bump applied, the lighting in the scene will affect that backside of the mesh.
Is there a trick to fixing this? I know using a double sided material works, but is there another way?
Try placing a cylinder in your scene and delete the top face. Put a material on it that has a normal bump map and render. The light affects the back side.
