I seem to be coming up with all sorts of issues with the vray region rendering in SP3, but the latest has caused me about 2 hours of troubleshooting.
Could anyone check this:
1) I have a scene with lots of XREFs (not sure if that is relevant)
2) I am rendering using the vray frame buffer at 4000x3000
3) The 3dsmax output size is 1200x900 (to give me the correct aspect ratio in viewports, but also then by clicking on 'get resolution from MAX' I get a smaller sized 'test render')
4) I do a vray region render at the full size of 4000x3000 pixels, but choosing a region the full width of the image (4000 pixels) by approximatly 1000 pixels high (not sure if this is relevant), and set it rendering
5) I then need to do a bit more test rendering at the smaller size of 1200x900 pixels, so I check the 'get resolution from MAX' button, and click render
6) Max crashes
7) It seems that if you have a vray region set, but then render using the MAX output size, it craps out of MAX
Can anyone confirm? This has caused a lot of swearing...
