We're new to DR and can't get it working. We have 3ds Max 2011 and vray 1.5 sp5 installed on two workstations here, (the client is Windows vista 64, and has previous versions of 3dsmax installed :/ and the server is Windows 7 64, no previous versions of max.)
I've run a test render with vray and backburner, and the server renders it fine! I launch DR Spawner and it starts a dummy 3dsmax 2011. So far so good. Then I uncheck 'net render' so BB is not involved, check DR and add the IP of the server under DR settings.
When I submit the render, I get the message that the server 'is not responding' meanwhile on the server the dummy flashes a few times then stops. I checked the log but don't really know what i'm looking at. Should I post that? Any help would be great.
I saw the issue with hotfixes for 3ds Max 2009 and 2010--does that apply to 2011? Do we need to replace any files for 2011, as Vlado posted for previous versions?
Also, should we not install some of the 2011 updates or hot fixes?
