Vray render preset corrupting files

Hi,
i ve just experience this BUG for the first time....
1. file is perfectly fine
2. then i load the renderign preset
3. material editor goes nuts spiting unhandled exception on every material sample
4. when trying to save, it corrupts the file completely :-///
5. if i dont load the preset, all is fine
Any ideas where the problem can be?
