  • Atmospherics messing up ZDepth ... ?

    Hi,

    I am wondering how to still make use of the ZDepth when using rendered Atmospherics? Using Phoenix tends to render all atmospheric objects towards pure white. I could imagine that any raymarching process is difficult to work with absolute Z-values, but of course the Z-Buffer is enormously valuable in our post (DOF, Fog, ...) .

    Are there any suggestions in Vray or alternatively in the Comp how to wire things to make use of Z-Information again? Or is there a way that makes Vray just X-Ray through atmosphere for Z-Info ?

    Any hints?
