  • Zdepth element without matte objects showing

I'm thinking the answer is no as this has been asked before. One of our lighters is trying to render a zdepth element without matte objects showing in it. they are not present in some passes and present in others. One thought of a solution would be the arbitrary mesh in vray 3.3 clipper but open to any suggestions. Is there a way to do this?

In the VrayProperties you can set Gen render elements off and they would output black.

+1 Asked for this in the past. Adding a "affect matte elements" like extratex would solve the issue. Hopefully it's not that hard to implement.

        Hi KageMaru,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately We are using Vray for 3dsmax v3.2. We can see the option in Maya though. Bumholes.
