Hello
So being short this is my problem :
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/...518_142642.png
This is a simple beam object :
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/...518_142757.png
you can see a white lines of an object intersecting middle part of it.
So i want to use VRayDistanceTex as a mask to make 2 different materials - one inside of this intersecting object , second outside.
I am working on this kind of look : https://www.fontainepartsource.com/i...t/40901097.JPG
What i cannot achieve is smooth transition starting from the edge going inside or outside (i am using Bercon Noise to make this transition noisy) , but you can see that if i am unchecking inside solid - i am getting transition noise map everywhere , but if i am checking it - i am getting hard edge which you can see on right part of the render.
Is there a way to separate transition itself and make it noisy with one VRayDistanceTex or i should use several of them using VRayCompTex ?
Thanks.
