  • IPR in 2nd Vray Frame Buffer

If any of you are familiar with Render Pass Manager (RPManager) it has a neat feature where each pass is rendered into it's own frame buffer. Would it possible to have a similar new frame buffer open for an IPR session? What often happens is I will render out a scene using the regular renderer, then need to tweak something using IPR, but the whole scene would need to be rendered after this because the old frame buffer is destroyed for the IPR session. Yeah, yeah, I know I could save it out using the history and load it back in and proceed from there. I'm just thinking it might be a cool feature. I'm not sure how it would work exactly, we probably would not want a new FB window popping up each time you click the IPR button.

BTW-how does RPManager open up the new VFB? Is this something that's doable via a simple maxscript?
    www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.
Working...
