  • Save animation frames from VFB

When I render stills I use the VFB to adjust my curves and levels etc. It works really well because it's using the 32bit data (I presume). Then I save out the image from the VFB. Job done.

For animations I'm having to save out 8bit images using max's normal method, then play around with screen layers afterwards to get an acceptable result. But it's just not as good as an image saved from the VFB.

One solution would be to buy some expensive comp'ing sofware to do the job. (using 32bit format image formats)

If only the VFB could accept frames from the animation, apply the curves etc and then save out an 8bit image, then on to the next frame....

Also, it would be very usefull to be able to save the curves and levels into a file that you can recall later-on. This would help a lot in the situation that you close down max, re-open it at a later time to work on the same project only to find that you just can't quite remember where you had those curve handles set to.
