Split render channels -- saving render path & file name

It appears the Split render channels saving does NOT save the render path & file name when you click on the BROWSE button.
It's wierd because you can see the path in the Path box below it [WHICH by the way should be resizable or at least a little bigger -- so you can see the full path]

But when you click on the browse button again [after already setting the name & path] it doesn't keep the name or the path.
It is saving the images fine it's just very painfull to do the '10 folder deep clicking & nameing

I do a lot of work, a lot of renders & this is ABSOLUTELY Killing me to redo the path & name EVERYTIME....getting RSI

Am I missing something ???
