  • layer not selected still rendering

    I have some objects on a layer that is turned off, but they still show up in the rendering. Version installed: vrayblender3-2.78-a04afa1-x86_64-windows.exe
    I tested on an earlier build, and works fine there. Sample file attached, Large cube (on layer 10, not visible) should not render.

    Yes, its that particle system> Render emitter bug. Switch particles off and cube will not render.
    Win11 Pro 64bit, GTX 970, Standalone version: V-Ray Next 4.30.03,

      When did this appear? First time I've seen it. Is it a Vray or Blender bug?

        I said wrong about emitter, its your plane not a cube. Normal Blender render/Cycles your scene works as expected so I think its Vray/exporter bug.
        Win11 Pro 64bit, GTX 970, Standalone version: V-Ray Next 4.30.03,

          Yeah, not concerned about emitter, I've always just changed the material to transparent if I don't want it to render. Good point to check against Blender render. I first noticed this on another scene where I had vegetation that I'm using as particles, and the source object was in the camera view. In previous renders, the object was hidden on the invisible layer and was skipped for rendering as usual. If I turn the object to not render, then the particles don't render as well.

            Yeh, I've changed a lot how we handle particles, array modifier and dupli, and when I was rewriting particles export I've added this bug... Fixed with https://github.com/bdancer/blender-f...24a9fa2aa04d04, rebuilding nightlies...
