  • VRay Standalone Server in DR...relatively low CPU/GPU and Ram usage

    Hi All,

Just wondering if it's normal to have 8% CPU, 9% GPU and around 30% Ram usage on a standalone render server? The main machine is maxed out on CPU/GPU and RAM, so thought it may share the rendering a little better?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Is not normal, especially if you are using the bucket sampler the slave should use 100% the resources when rendering with Vray CPU.
RAM consumption depends by the complexity of the scene, is not unusual to see much less RAM used compared to the main machine.
GPU will be used just by the OS and the denoiser/effects if you are rendering with Vray CPU.

      Hi sirio76 ,

      Thanks for your reply.

I thought as much, I'm using GPU and CPU. I may need to send the scene to customer services

        Hello markTAVF,

Do you experience this issue with a specific scene only? It would be helpful if you can share it with us so we can have a look. Also, please provide more information about your setup, such as V-Ray and C4D versions, OS, GPU drivers, etc. Thank you.
