interesting. Im not at home at the moment, but I could have sworn, when I loaded the hdri map into the color slot, the color picker was no longer accesible. ill try again when i get home tonight.

You load an HDR the same way you do a bitmap. You raise it the same way, through the color picker. As for F-stops, keep in mind that it is exponential.

    +1 stop = x2
    +2 stops = x4
    +3 stops = x8
    +4 stops = x16
    ....
    -1 stop = 0.5
    -2 stops = 0.25
    -3 stops = 0.125
    ...

well, for hdr, you the way maya users do it, is control the brighteness with color gain, where you just lower or raise the value.

i suppose you can connect a multiply/devide node into the color and increase the amount there. Though vray material should contain its own multiplier.

This one stumped me for a sec too. You can overdrive the number in the color picker past 1.0.

    vraylightmtl

How do you crank up the multiplier on the vraylightmtl? Also is there a vrayhdri loader. How do people crank up the fstop value of hdri's?
