Hi everyone,
not sure how this is supposed to work correctly. I have a plane with a yellow VRayLightMtl and a green cube with a standard VRayMtl sitting on top of it.
If I turn the plane into a shadow catcher via objectproperties, things look like expected.
But if I turn the cube's primary visibility off to get a proper shadow pass everything vanishes and the RGB is black with the alpha completely empty. The same thing happens if I use a standard VRayMtl with only self illumination turned on and everything else set to black. Seems odd, are purely self illuminated materials supposed to work as shadow catcher? It is not really a problem, because I can just use a diffuse material as shadow catcher. Just wondering why it works until I switch off the primary visibilty of the shadow casting object.
