I'm rendering this boat simulation scene (with Phoenix fd) though unfortunately it only renders about 15 frames before it crashes from maxing the memory. Each frame takes a bit over 5 minutes to render.
I suspect it may be because I set ocean sub divs to 7, but I cannot reduce this as the horizon would be too noisy without it.
computer specs:
Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K 3.60 GHz
Installed RAM: 48.0 GB
To help diagnose the issue I recorded the memory in the performance monitor while it rendered some frames. It rendered about 15 frames from 5:15 to 6:38 before it crashed. You can see the memory generally appears to increase frame by frame until it stops while trying to build the scene for a new frame and crashes
I've attached the render log which I saved to a txt file, (the primary error message appears in line 2887)
It's a different render job than the one shown in the performance monitor, but it has the same error/ effect.
I've attached the project files(without the simulation files) in a request form, since its too big to upload here
