I have this picture:
Basically I have a vray mtl assigned to this face, and a vray edges texture assigned to the diffuse slot.
When V-Ray renders an edge will show up (I have marked it as red). Obviously this is probably illegal geometry (two holes in one face), but I'd expect V-Ray to respect the "hidden" edges.
I can post this if needed. (USing Maya 2011 x64, Dec 14th build).
