Hi guys,
i have a question regarding the rendering of motionblur and the particle instancer in Maya. My situation is the following:
I have a desert scene with meerkats running around on sandy ground. While they are running, they throw sand through the air. All of this is done
with Maya nParticles, and the sand corns are instanced geometry.
Now when i want to render motionblur, it seems like i cant do it.
1. Motionblur through the Vray Rendersettings makes the instances dissappear.
2. Turning on a velocity render element has the same effect.
Is this a limitation of the maya particle cache files, or can this be fixed in another way ?
Edit: Just found the option to use the rgbPP Attribute. This would mean as soon as we could get the particle velocity information as rgb, we could export it with a vray Partcle attributes and pipe it into a surface shader....
Solved and can be closed.
