  • Colorful swatch background as in 3dsmax

    Hello all,

I would like to request something completely overlooked but so vital to get the most accurate shader representation and it's completely missing from maya,
which took me months to realize the obviousness of the truth, why always all the V-Ray Shaders looked way better within 3dsmax's material editor
and so dead and uninspiring within Maya's Hypershade.

The truth shocked me and it was so evident and my eyes couldn't understand it at the first (few hundereds) glances
but my mind did constantly alert me that things don't match.

It may be the exact same shader, but the mind doesn't perceive that it is the same chrome material in both cases.

It would be wonderful to have:

    a)
colorful checkered background for the reflected environment as an option checkbox to swap from the current default B&W checker
    b) 2-sided lighting of the ball swatch as it is in 3dsmax,not the single point light source.

Both would really help to develop physically accurate shaders (especially for arch-viz/photorealistic situations)very quickly without the need to test render them.

Thank you for your all efforts in the development of V-Ray
