  • V-Ray Physical Camera -> Exposure

    Is it possible to set the default state of "Exposure" in V-Ray's physical camera to off. I have f.ex. added the physical camera package in my preferences by default, since it reduces compatibility problems between V-Ray RT-CPU and GPU when using f.ex. film offsets. There are no downsides by adding this package to the camera anyway. Only thing that bothers me is, that Exposure is toggled ON by default, leading to differences between what we're used to see in MODO in your preview render and using V-Ray. First thing I have to do in every scene is, toggeling this feature OFF first to get the same look.

    Adding the package by default in your preferences (and having Exposure enabled therefore) leads to the problem, that when I load an older scene, that hadn't the package added first, now gets the V-Ray physical camera added and renders darker, since Exposure is enabled now, so to get back your old look, you have to disable it first as well.

    Therefore I'm suggesting, disabling Exposure by default when adding a V-Ray physical-camera package to your camera.

    Who's with me?
