  • real world dimensions for texture mapping

    hi all,

    is there a way to give real world dimensions to bitmap textures?
    example : i want to bring in a brick pattern that in real world is 1m X 1m, the way i do it right now is i create a 5m X 5m wall and repeat the bitmap 5 times in U/V.
    I tried using UVW texture editing (similar to 3DMAX) but couldn't figure it out.

    is there a better way to do this?
