  • Vray gpu and vray Aces cg

    Hi Muhhamed

I know You are really busy with the vray 6 beta... But i read that vray team is going to implement Aces with the upcoming major update for vray for sketchup.

I read too that implement a práctical solution with Aces is Even better with sketchup than 3d max and maya.

If that is the case that would be so awesome to have a fast way to uses Aces cg.

    Thanks

PD. I read that on the vray beta 6 for 3d max issues

"They use the same color picker as the Frame buffer I think. Better than Max's native(shows the linear float values at least), this picker will be adjusted further, they are putting effort to this direction as part of their V6 planning, and some internal discussions. The workflow will be fully automated with no user control, just a checkbox in render settings.
I guess the fact that all V-Ray editors in SketchUp are our own, so it easier to decide how we go about ACES. Unlike Maya, where we adapt to Maya's native color management, or Max that lacks any native color management/color picking."

That could be really amazing Muhhamed!!!

"I think automatically converting scenes/assets to ACES should possible, V-Ray for SketchUp has a workflow planned on adapting ACEScg for rendering. If there is time tomorrow I will make a video on this"

I have never use Aces cg in all My life... But if it is planned for vray for sketchup... Well that could be great!!!

Hi luisgamino2 there is effort in this direction yes, everything should be automated. The workflow will be simpler than Max/Maya

    Best,
