hello,
first of all, i apologize if this thread is in the wrong section - i couldn't decide if this belongs to the 'bugs' section or not (but it rather doesn't.).
now, to the issue - i am using V-Ray with SketchUp on two PCs. one is set up as slave (winVista, 32bit - with the Distributed Rendering Spawner slave program), the other is my main pc (win 7, 64bit). however, when i launch the spawner, it immediately begins to use 50% of the slave's CPU (it's a dual-core, and sometimes the load is spread evenly, sometimes only one core is used). when rendering, the slave pc kicks in approx. 30-40 seconds after the rendering has begun, and i suspect these two things may be correlated.
did anyone experience anything similar before? what can i do to solve the mysterious cpu usage? several restarts did not help so far.
thanks for any answer,
~E
