Allow picking focus distance for camera target mode

I'd like to be a able to have a different focus distance for different scenes, so I set it to camera target mode, but there is no easy way to set the target distance. There are a couple plugins that allow setting the precise target position, but they involve doing some math manually. Double middle clicking the view often works ,but obviously changes the camera direction as well, and doesn't seem consistent if adjusting after.

It would be nice if Vray's focus distance tool worked in camera target mode, and actually changed the actul distance of the camera target from the camera but not the view direction so it could be saved with the scene.

Does that make sense?
