  • GPU Moblur phx particles not working

Reading log and it is said to be working days ago. But it is not and never worked for me. Do I need to press button somewhere or what? Force on - doesnt work. Also shading cpu like not supported, right? Looks different.
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

    Hey,

Make sure to get the latest V-Ray build from the website and a Phoenix nightly. Then you need to have the Velocity enabled in the Output rollout for the Particle systems you wish to motion blur.

Indeed the Force on option is not working yet. We should have a fix in a few days.

The shading on the GPU is still work in progress and it won't match the CPU one yet.

    Cheers!

You can use the motion blur settings in the V-Ray menu. No need to use physical camera.

I'm using dof quite often. Last time I checked it was just wrongly calculated - good old wrong dof if not using physcam. Me using dof quite often. And so to have both of then I have to use physcam. Not sure if it was fixed.

While waiting for force on to work - there's an issue with moblur all around, thought, it was only pre release version (vrayproxy struggled massively), but it is here as well.

Any vray version (starting from 5.0.60) and any phx version.

P.S. What is happened to google groups, btw ?

Thanks a lot for the scene. Are the black artifacts the issue you're talking about?
I can't seem to get those using the latest official v-ray and phoenix, neither with nightly builds. I'm using Drivers version 460.89

Currently there is a problem when rendering Particle shader with GPU in RTX mode - it will crash if the Particle shader is rendering a particle group that has no particles in the rendered frame.
We're working on that and we should have a fix in a few days, but should work fine using Cuda mode.

Official means nightly? And of course rtx mode, sorry I forgot. Can get moar blocks in no time, without phx, just vrayproxy and moblur. I just try to read changelogs before downloading and thers no fresh builds. Also, I thought particle moblur which we were talking about just several posts back only available when usin both vr and phx nightlies.

Offical means - build from the Chaos website. The particle shader motion blur will work with the latest V-Ray build from the Chaos website and a Phoenix nightly build.
Can you send over a problematic scene with a proxy? Also does it happen only in RTX mode and which drivers are you using?
