HI All.
am new to the forum, and recently started a deep dive into v-ray. I have watched a lot of onboarding videos and trainer videos on youtube from content creators. I have come across a problem that I can't seem to find a solution to.
I am creating a golf putting practice area. I am attempting to seggregate the grass areas so I can have different heights of fur. The putting green grass at .125" high, then the collar at .25" high, and the fairway equiavalent would be 1.625"
When I render, the fur comes in blocky. There is not rhyme or reason to what it is choosing to follow. The surface is all same group, not separated by lines or hidden lines, etc. In the attached image, the line where the fur is dark green (fairway, 1.625 in the image) should actually be the entire surface up to the putting green collar. You can vaguly see the difference in height of the collar from the green in this render. If I rendered that scene 10 times, I would get 10 deffernt results, without changing any settings, and none of them would be correct.
I have deleted the fur, added it back, broken the surface up into different groups, and of course, changed the various render settings.
any ideas what I am doing wrong or suggestions to make to get the fur to work correctly? is it a bug?
