  • Strange exposure difference between RT and VFB

RT has been working fine for me for some time, but then today a gremlin strikes!
    Here's a screen grab.

Clean scene, vrayplane, cube and vraysun (parented to a sun system with standard light off), vrayphysical camera, linear CC, gamma 1.

I cannot understand why the exposure is SO different!?
    Any ideas?

Ok, so removing Vray and reinstating it from the scene fixed the problem.... I just wonder what parameter I messed up to cause the problem!

    Strange.

Ok, I think it might have been RPManager introducing some strange parameter values. I don't have time to double check, but I'd put it down to that for the time being.

It might be due to the "Use legacy sun/sky model" option (it should be off).

Thanks Vlado, but I tried that.
I think I worked it out. It wasn't RPManager (I think)... if I changed the camera to "still" camera the exposure was correct. In movie and video mode, DR exposure was wrong. Can you see if you can recreate? No urgency, I don't have the problem at the moment, but I'm curious to know if it's just my file or a larger problem.

              Do I win a prize?!

Thanks for checking, glad to hear it's not something I'm doing wrong.

              Cheers

Does RT Support materials with colourcorrect applied? I have found since I have being using 2.2 setting in the colour correct plugin/script that RT and Vray don't match, ever. Maybe additional settings for future builds could include some kind of gamma control? Or I am completely wrong and you all think I should'nt have said anything.

The ColorCorrect texture should work; if you have a scene where is doesn't, please send it to vray@chaosgroup.com so that we can look at it.
