  • RT in "Activeshade Mode" acts as RT in "Production Mode"

Recently I started having a strange problem with Vray RT. I'm trying to use RT in Activeshade mode but it acts as if I've put it in Production mode. Why? Here's a screenshot.

I tried creating a completely new scene and continuing working from there. It fixes it for a while but after some jumping back and forth between rendering in production mode and activeshade mode, it breaks again.

Please find attached the scene (all objects are deleted). Max version is 2016 SP1, Vray is 3.30.04. No plug-ins are used.

This is a 3ds max problem - it happens when you have opened render setup window with production mode set and start Active Shade from the dropdown render button. You can manually refresh it by closing the render setup window and open it again.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

Thanks for the help but this didn't work for me. Only merging the scene to a new Max scene fixes it for a while and then it breaks again. I think this started happening after installing the new Vray version 3.30.04.

Can you post a scene that's broken in this way? I don't need the stuff in the scene itself, just the renderer setup.

        Best regards,

No, I don't have a scene, sorry I already reverted back to 3.30.03. If I have the time this week, I'll install 3.30.04 on one of the workstations and try to cause the bug again.

If you manage to reproduce it again, please send it to peter.matanov@chaosgroup.com.
