  • [GPU] Distributed connection timeout

I can't connect to a render node via GPU Production render... It says connection timeout, port 20206... But if i try normal Vray DR works fine, port 20204 though... both ports are open... Any suggestions? Tried same port for GPU but it gives random errors.

Do you have the V-Ray RT render server running on the other machine? If yes, is there anything written in its console window?

      Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Yes, i managed to make it connect to the node, but it isn't rendering anything. I unchecked "use local host" and it gets stuck at 0, rendering nothing. CPU usage at 0, GPU usage at 0 on GPU node.
Tried using the local host too, but it only uses my machine GPUs.

Why does it say that there's 0 lights, 0 primitives, etc...? Local machine has 3x 980 Ti 6GB, GPU node for now has 1x 780 Ti 3GB for testing...

Here's a screen of the console. Vray 3.40.01

Please send me the scene for investigation at peter.matanov@chaosgroup.com
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

Are you able to render a very simple scene with a few basic primitives and a light?
Have you got the same result when rendering with RT CPU instead?
Would you please double check that you are using the same V-Ray version on all machines participating in DR, make sure also that the correct V-Ray RT Spawner is started in case you have multiple V-Ray installations.

Got it working today, apparently it was because both machines had different nvidia drivers... It was giving a "Memory allocation failure" every time i tried to render on the node, drivers updated, it's working now!
