  • FastSSS2 material not working with RT CUDA

I thought I would try rendering a job here with RT CUDA as production renderer to see if it will be faster than CPU but I ran into a problem. The FastSSS2 material doesn't come out the same as with Vray Adv. The object which has the FastSSS2 material looks solid instead of transparent. I made sure that the SSS material is set to "Raytraced" mode (I saw in the help that this material in RT works only in Raytraced mode). What could be wrong? I'm using Vray nightly 3.57.01.

May you check the log for any warnings ?

Sure, below is the log along with a snapshot of the material. Why does it say that only "None" and "Simple" are supported? According to the supported features page, FastSSS2 supports "Raytraced" scattering in CUDA.

These (none, simple, etc) are different modes of the raytraced scattering. Check here https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...C+VRayFastSSS2

Is your issue to do with Raytraced Refractive not being avaiable on GPU ?
Raytraced Solid works fine, though we can't use if for transparent milky plastics etc, which is what your image suggests.
