Just wondering when West Coasters will recieve dongels?
why not post this in all the other dongle posts floating around rather than a new post
I looked for another post and didn’t find one.. Hence the post, a link to an existing one would be appreciated.
i do believe vlado has mentioned many times dongles will be sent out once they have returned from siggy. so i guess it all depends on what mail carrier they use to determine how long it will be till you get yours

I suppose that the dowloadable version of 1.5 in the support pages is not installable whitout the dongle?
Or is the old license server working with 1.5?
Actually, that’s exactly what I was wondering since I saw the 1.5 dload posted. But I haven’t installed it yet, I don’t want to be caught without either version if it requires a dongle.

NOt yet. Not even the virtual dongle which some people have been getting. There seems to be some sort of “elite” vray users that got this excemption before their dongle arrive.

Recieved an email a few days ago saying it may be 2 months before they arrive. Since this company did not have a previous version, the software license option won’t work for us apparently. Pity since we paid for a couple seats of 1.5 a few weeks ago and are unable to use it.
Hmm. I’d ask them if you can get an older version with license generated than install the new RC.
I just bought two copies.
In download section i found old 1.4… and 1.5 rc2.
So i first installed old version and started license server.
Then i installed 1.5 RC2 over that. Because i don’t have dongle
either, i used workaround descriped in Vlados email.
You should have that email too if you have done dongle request.

I have 22.07.2006 posted dongle request form with confirm but stil havent any email with this cgauth.dll to run 1.5 temporary. Trying write to Vlado without sucsess…

unfortunately, I don’t have direct access to the full download section as I have to go through the IT dept. since they have that login info. To further complicate matters, they have zero familiarity with Max-vray-licensing schemes. I have not been informed of any emails received regarding temporary licensing solutions but will submit an IT request on Monday.
