2 sided v-ray to Corona

Hello guys,
sorry if I still break the boxes, but I have just seen in the gallery section the possibility of creating materials in the diffuse that have the front and the back, very useful in the leaves. unfortunately it was used in 3d max. For cinema 4d there is the function? I can not find it.

Thank you.

You can use the native C4D Normals Direction map as a mask in a Layer shader, as at least one example on how to achieve it.

Sorry but I’m not sure I understand. You could post an example if it’s not too much trouble.

Thank you

Here’s one where I used Normal Direction as a mask between two different materials, using the Corona Layered Material.
normal direction.c4d (356 KB)

thank you so much

I’m sorry for the trivial questions but I’m a beginner with a crown and I still do not know all the procedures well.

Not a problem! This is the place for all questions, from “trivial” (but nothing is trivial when you first run into it!) to “so complex it makes your head spin trying to follow what they are talking about”, and all levels of questions are welcome!

doesnt simply enabling translucency do the job? (2-sided in vray sense of light is coming through)
to map a material to the front/back simply using front/back in the texture tag seems to work…

what does the layered material / normal dir setup do?
