2014 Corvette previz animation on youtube = all VRay

V-Ray V-Ray for 3ds Max General

Just a quick note that my company Trinity Animation posted a popular youtube movie rendered with VRay. This movie is about 2 minutes of full HD, showing our C7 (the next-gen Chevrolet Corvette) model in a variety of environments (all but the tunnel derived from Evermotion scenes).

The car has not been shown publicly yet so we built it working from spy shots, illustrations at a car site called Jalopnik and other guesswork. I put up a “behind the scenes” web site at www.myc7.us

The clip has been mentioned at Jalopnik, Motor Trend, Automobile Magazine, and many others, and so far 80,000+ people have seen it! We put a credit to Chaos Group and Vray at the end :slight_smile:

You really did it, Jim! Nice.

Interesting that all the comments on YouTube are strictly about the design of the car, and not the animation, model, scenes, etc. I’d say that was a an indication of real success.
