250 pax auditorium for presentation, first time trying to use vraylightselect, still not quite suitable this workflow, not quite sure how to set the mode?

What are you trying to achieve with the light select? The full mode should be working well for most cases. Unless you want the full compositing control like changing colors for objects/grading their reflections and stuff.
You’d need something like nuke for that anyway.
But with the full mode you should be able to add (linear dodge) the channels on top of each other and grade them separately in post. Photoshop probably isn’t the best tool for that but it should work.
May be just me, some effect can be achieve by using rawvraytotallighting, vrayreflection and etc instead of using vraylightselect, am i correct?
Yes, you can grade the components seperately. F.e. raise the contrast on the gi or change the color of an object without changing its reflection.
But those are tricks for animation mainly.
Because sometimes you can’t rerender a sequence since it would take too long. In this case being able to change stuff in comp can save your butt.
But for stills there isn’t a point for doing that Imo. It’ll make your image look less realistic. And since setting up those comps takes some time you’d be better off doing it in 3d and rerender your still.
Also, I think photoshop isn’t capable to really perform such complex comps. After Effects might. But Nuke, Natron or Fusion would be the best choice.
The full light select on the other hand is very handy because you can easily change alot in post like light colors and intensity without the overwhelming complexity of a full LS comp. You can, for example use it to quickly create different lighting setups.

I’d recommend taking the v1.32 because the last one has some problems.
Hi, the v1.32 link is broken, but i see there is a v1.361, can i download v1.361? or i need to wait for you to re-post the v1.32 link? is this both script support 3ds max 2014?
The download works if you click the link in the ‘Attached Files’ box. I don’t know why it doesn’t work above.. Must be a forum thing.
The v1.361 works. But I kind of finding it a little unintuitive and there are one or two bugs.
But everything which is in the v1.32 should also work in the v1.361
If you need all the modes from Vray next, you’ll have to use the latest one.
