2D billboards in Sketchup (trees, people, etc.) are not equally toned, or shaded (more exact). half of them, their “body”/ssurface in Sketchup 2018 (up to central turning axis) are PROPERLY under light, and the other half is SHADED. not in every position, but 60% of positions of the camera.
or…
this transition should be more soft, light transition to darker tones - to simulate “3D objects appearance” that are partly shaded by themselves alone…
We’re aware of this behavior and we’ll resolve it as soon as possible, but I’m afraid, there is not ETA yet as to when that will be. In any case, I’ll forward your complaint to our developers so they’ll be aware of the further demand regarding a solution to this.
Having not used Enscape for a while I see the tree shading issue hasn’t been resolved yet. Has any progress been made on this? It seems to be a long standing issue as it was also discussed here back in 2017: 2D Trees - shadow problem
I’m encountering this issue on a current project so a potential ETA for a fix would be helpful. Thanks.
i have some “work around” but is it destructive to billborad objects or just hit ctrl+z
i explode whole face me objects to be only planes ofc you must to be in scene view , then make a image from view and then just hit undo and go to next image
