3D Streaming Beta - Feedback / Issues

Please report any feedback or issues you are having with the 3D Streaming Beta feature in this topic.

If you are reporting a problem - please, include your chaos account - email ID and a URL (Share link) to the 3D scene file you are having issues with.

nguyen_thong I am sorry to hear that! Can you share a link to your scene so we can investigate the issue? You can send it via a direct message to me.

Thank you!

Is it possible to have exposure controls or auto-exposure for uploaded models?

AKlypin this is an item we have in the roadmap! What models are you using the 3D Streaming for? Enscape models or vrscene?

VRscene (Uploaded from VRay for Sketchup). We will sometimes use Vantage for real-time client presentations and get requests to share the models via Cloud Collaboration, however we have to pre-set an exposure value that works adequately for both a range of interior and exterior spaces.

We have an item prioritized for exposing controls for exposure in the UI to easily tweak it during streaming. I will update you when it is released,

VRScene uploadet via uptodate 3ds Max 2026:

On Collaboration web page the 3d project is stated as uploadet via Vantage..?

Chaos Scans material: these textures are not included in the streaming renderer, but rather represented by a purple base color..?

Another question:

What kind of hardware does this service use via the cloud collaboration? Any way to run it locally if you have a good setup, or would it make sense to implement at all?

Keep up the good work

@CTRL_SPACE Hey! On your first question - vrscenes uploaded to Chaos Cloud Collaboration will show up as Vantage files because Chaos Vantage is the renderer used to show them and interact with them when 3D Streaming is active.

Chaos Scans material: these textures are not included in the streaming renderer, but rather represented by a purple base color..? - This may be a bug - I will ask the team to check on our end.

What kind of hardware does this service use via the cloud collaboration? - We are using Virtual Machines in Google Cloud, specifically 24GB L4 GPUs for Vantage with 64GB RAM, which should provide a good experience in most cases, but this is still a fully Ray Traced rendering engine in real time, so in complex scenes frame rate could be a bit lower.

Any way to run it locally if you have a good setup, or would it make sense to implement at all? - We have discussed this possibility, but it may be significant effort for us to support this scenario so we want to get a good estimate of customer interest via the beta phase before we decide if it is worth doing. There are many concerns with running the service locally - network bandwidth, hardware resources, machine availability, hooking up local machines to Chaos Cloud would also require a management service on our end, making sure it has a very easy to use interface and etc.

Thank you for the feedback! How useful are you finding the service? Im interested to know how you fit this feature in your workflows if you have time to share!.

Best,

I’m just writing to inquire about the status of updates and improvements? I uploaded a fairly geometry heavy scene from 3DS Max and it works fine but there are no controls for fine tuning and the quality is rather low (pixelation). For example, there’s no way to adjust the background in the interior scene that I uploaded and there’s no way to remove some of the cameras. I currently use a product called Shapespark for this type of sharing and I would like to switch to chaos if the quality matched. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

3D-streaming all grey today, and only default view to choose from - no scenes, landscape or model to be seen.

Previously my clients have been very happy with 3D-streaming, but here I need some guidance..

Question.

Is streaming available to Solo users?

Do you have to have Vantage to use it.

I didn’t see it written anywhere, if it is could you point me to the location please. it does not appearin the cloud settings?

Thank you

Phil kelly

At the moment the 3D Streaming Beta is free for all Chaos Users with at least 1 product license regardless of the tier. You do not have to have Vantage to use it. After the Beta this may change.

You can check our guides on how to upload scenes from each product and how to use the feature in Chaos Cloud here - Uploading 3D Scenes

Hope this helps!
