Hello guys.
We are working on a new project, and i wish to be able to render complex scene using vrscene (to be able to use a Linux renderfarm) but i have noticed différents between normal rendering and vrscene rendering.
Here’s one easy to reproduce, with a simple checker in a displacement + vray Sun.
Rendered with 3ds 2020, vray 4.10.03
Can you post the scene? Looks like in 3ds Max the scene uses 2D displacement, but in the standalone the 3D displacement method is used. This could be a bug in the exporter, but it would be best to check the scene to confirm.
Here’s the .vrscene file.
For your information, the image i made was not a vrscene exported but a vray Cloud preview. (is the vrayscene created by the cloud submiter is saved anywhere ?) cyclo01.zip (5.81 KB)
3D displacement is still not rendered correctly in the vrayCloud preview.
2D displacement is pixel perfect between local rendering & standalone. I really need this for 3dDisplacement, it’s a critical point for rendering animation in cloud
