3dsmax crashes after starting render. Crashed Module Name: Corona_Release.dll

I didn’t have this issue before, I have been using windows 11 since the first time Ive been using corona and 3dsmax. I think it is an issue with a windows update or internal issue. I’ve seen this same error posted on the forum before but couldn’t find any solution posted. Please help me :frowning:

This issue is being handled in the ticket 224068

Hi! How the problem was solved in the ticket 224068?

Hey! Turned out the problem was due to voltage caps being set to unlimited on my BIOS for my processor i9-13900K. I set the voltages to their default values and it was solved.

I’m not qualified enough to explain in detail but I can ensure that the problem is caused by the voltage set from the motherboard to the processor(if all else fails).

Tnx! Really - I reset the BIOS settings to the default and render has started and works (before, I had a XMP-profile for RAM and other custom settings).

Sounds like the exact same issue that has been affecting gamers, e.g. see https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/is-your-intel-core-i9-13900k-crashing-in-games-your-motherboard-bios-settings-may-be-to-blame-other-high-end-intel-cpus-also-affected
