Hello,

When I start a live link from 3dsmax to Vantage. I adjust some render settings in vantage. I save/load the scene as config only. But when I press the “Render animation with Chaos Vantage” in 3ds max it resets the scene and renders with default settings.

How can I render an animation from 3dsmax with the extra settings of chaos vantage (like adjusted reflectivity an bump settings) (loaded as config only)?

Yes I am having the same exact problem.

Using the latest version of Vantage, and Vray for 3ds Max 2026.3. Maybe need to downgrade vray to fix?

This seems to be an issue with the latest version of Live link in Vray (downgrading to a previous version fixed this (7.20.05).

Can anyone from Chaos confirm this bug and advise on a fix?

Please download again the latest V-Ray 7 for 3ds Max, update 2.3 uploaded on 19 Dec 2025 -

The initial builds have been updated due to this Render Animation Live-Link issue.
