3dsMax - VFB crash since version 3.4

I’m using multiple workstations on two locations (office or home-office). One of the workstations can’t be upgraded past version 3.3 as it will crash when opening the VFB. The other workstations work without problems.
This happens with any scene, old or newly created. This is the third update I can’t use on this workstation.
When I uninstall 3.4, 3.5 of 3.6 and reinstall 3.3 i can use the vray frame buffer on this one again.

The same license and license server is used and 3ds max is version 2016 (18.6.)
I have it when I launch a render from 3ds max or through backburner. (VRAY unhandled exception… blablabla… pipe has ended …blablabla).
Using the very limited standard max vfb “solves” the issue.

I’ve added what’s visible from the pop-up before the crash below.

Does the issue persist only when network rendering? What if you render locally on that machine do you still get it to crash?

It happens locally as well. As soon as the vray VFB pops up, it crashes. I’ve had it with every release that came after 3.3.

Would it be possible to send us a max crash dump file to support@chaosgroup.com? Please mention this thread in your mail.

I’ve emailed a crash dump file that i now get when i try to open more than one max instance. This issue is also new.
I don’t get a crash-report menu when it crashes through the VFB error. Max just closes then.
