64bit oddness

we just got some new 64bit render machines for our farm and I’ve noticed that once in a while a render will be done without any of the turbosmooths active. It is totally unpredictable and only seems to happen with these 64 bit boxes.

We are using deadline as our network render manager and running max 9 with vray 1.5 rc3

I’d just like to know if anyone has ever run into something like this.

Is the turbosmooth modifier set to be active during render time only?

yes it is only active during render time.

does it do the same thing when its active in viewport too?

not sure about that. I haven’t had the time to check with a deadline and all. like I said its totally random and might happen only once after rendering 2 or 3 hundred frames.
